THEME:
Transformation And Renewal - It’s A new Season

By Grace Ann Clarke
Age: 13 years old

Topic: After I was baptized

After I was baptized, I felt transformed and new.
After I was baptized, I felt that with God anything I could do.
After I was baptized the devil smelled trouble
After I was baptized my temptations began to double.
After I was baptized, I often felt misled,
After I was baptized I got into trouble instead.
After I was baptized I didn’t know what was true,
When it seemed like God left me all the work to do.
After I was baptized I tried to seek His face.
But after I was baptized I got dirty and was a disgrace.
After I was baptized, I often stumbled and fell.
After I was baptized I wondered if I would go to hell.
After I was baptized I knew that God was true,
So after all the struggles I came to God, He made me renew
After I was baptized God made me clean and now
I give off a spiritual sheen.
