Topic: Transformation And Renewal. It’s A New Season
An extensive and intriguing issue among Christians, the church and the wider society is that of the intrinsic need for revival and change. With each new season blossoms great ideas and creativity that enlargens our vision as people of God. Thus it is believed that diversity is indeed the to longevity is and growth. However, before any further attempts are made to delve in this paper it is important to define some key terms, these being ‘ transformation,’ ‘renewal’ and ‘ new season.’
Transformation is to alter, while renewal is to replenish. The phrase ‘new season’ is commonly associated with fresh ideas and involves new approaches and departure from the past. Based on the above clarification it is clear that the aims of this essay are to dissect the whole issue of transformation and renewal and what is to experience and be prepared for our new season.
The Christian life is armed with unlimited possibities and opportunities these cannot be attained without transformation and renewal in our minds and direction. We are best through enduring commitment and insightful approaches. In order to increase the flow of God favour in a fresh and new way we must be able to change the way we think, the people we associate with and our very actions.
It must also be recognized and concreted in our lives that transformation is a process. Therefore it has phases, and timing plays an important factor. Hence the stages towards reacher our new season involves acknowledgement that we need transformation or be a part of the force that instigates it. Secondly is planning towards, or living a life acceptable for renewal. Lastly is receiving and making full use of our new seasons. As young men and women , because of multiple obstacles we all experience dry season. However ,it is our zeal for greater service that propels us to words that new atmosphere in Christ.
As Christians we should never aim to be stagnant but instead have a drive to redirect and rebuild our lives and walk with God. God is concerned with the depth of our root rather than the height of our branches. Thus as Christians we should always seek to prune or replant ourself to produce good fruits.
II Timothy 4:2 declares “be ready in season and of season”. In a nutshell one should never loose their sense of purpose or come complacent but instead seek fresh anointing for each season we find ourselves in. There are many factors that promotes change and by extension replenishes our Christian life. One of such is being able to forgive, reconcile and break from the bitterness and pain of the past. Another influence is learning from our mistakes and being able to move forward..Your past does not determine your present or future, God is always able to do a new thing.
In doing our part in being prepared, we need to be zealous after this new season. The bible states that we are helped in gaining renewal “ not by might, nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord Almighty”. Zechariah 4:6. In bracing for what is ahead, we should live a life of expectancy for our new seasons, simply making room for all that God wants to give us. Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtain of your habitation be stretched out spare not, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes for you will spread abroad to the right and the left” Isaiah 54:2-4.
As we mature we go through various levels of revival to reach our full potential. Thus this realm of transformation and renewal we are experiencing now is building and strengthening our very foundation. In actuality it is wearing away those things we should forget and pressing towards that higher calling and goals. In essence we are being directed into a new level for the next season A the song says it best, when he declared “ its a new season of power and prosperity”. God desires nothing less for our lives but everlasting growth and promotion.
In concluding it is evident that transformation and renewal is a source redeveloping our character, values and connection with Christ. Our task is to shine and advance in this season and the next. Persons should dispel all fears and inhibitions, God has given us a great season, our call is to experience every moment and have an impact on the world.
