Leo Christopher Hall was born on the 27th of October, 1970, in the parish of St. James (Jamaica). Rev. Hall’s early Christian influence came from his grandmother, Merinda Grant, who was very active in the church life at the Mt. Zion United Church.
Early Influences:
It was at Mt. Zion Rev. Hall gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and was immersed by the Rev. Barry Pridham a Canadian Missionary serving as Pastor at the church. It was Pridham’s influence, supported by that of Rev. Margret Fowler that led Rev. Hall into contemplating ministry as a lifelong calling.

Rev. Hall developed a passion for evangelism and started out in ministry as an evangelist preaching at crusades, conferences and youth rallies. He has even served many Christian groups as Evangelism coordinator. Rev. Hall, who is founding Chairman for The Greater Highgate Ministers’ Fraternal, currently serves as Pastor in the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands (serving four congregations – Bethel, Marlborough, Airy Mount and Esher), Chairman for the Social Services Committee, Chairman and Board Member of a number of committees, and is founding and pioneering Chairman for the Highgate Counseling Ministry and Glory T.V. These are both ministries of the Bethel United Church.
His Education:
Rev. Hall is of scholarly orientation, which started with a basic education at the Mt. Zion All Age School, (now Primary), after which he did his secondary studies at the Montego Bay Secondary School, (now St. James High School), and a limited stint at the tertiary level at the Montego Bay Community College. But the strength of his theological studies was done through The Institue for Theological and Leadership Development (I.T.L.D.), now International University of the Caribbean, where he obtained a diploma in Ministerial Studies and a B.A. in Theology and is currently in poised to pursue a M.A. in Contemporary Church Development.

Rev. Hall has been serving the United Church from as early as 1994. This first appointment was as an Electrical Installation Teacher at the Edith Dalton James Community College, (now Mel Nathan Institute College). As a pastor Rev.
